Someone keyed our car

May 4, 2015

Sometime in the last few days our car was keyed. Not cool. There is this big scratch from the front door to the back door on the driver’s side. We are not quite sure when it happened but it must be very recent as we didn’t notice it before. Who gets pleasure out of keying someone’s car? I really don’t get it.

Jeremy was saying that if he caught the person in the act he would have punched them in the face. That made me giggle a bit. I’m not too sure what I would have done. I think it would have depended on who it was.

I remembered seeing this ad on TV for a pen you can use to fill scratches, so I suggested to Jeremy that we go find it and buy one. It’s one of those ‘As seen on TV’ products so I wasn’t sure if it was going to work or not.

As soon as we got home from buying it, I decided to try it out. I’m not too sure about the result to be honest. Although, it does say to leave it to dry for 48 hours, so perhaps the result will change, who knows! Currently you can still see the scratch clearly and product doesn’t really match the colour of the car as promised, it looks lighter. So rather than getting rid of the scratch it has sort of highlighted it, haha. Let’s hope that changes!

For those of you out there thinking of keying a car, don’t! What do you get out of it? Nothing! All you’re doing is causing hassle and unnecessary money spending for another person, which is not fair at all.
