Giving Pantene a go

May 11, 2015

In the past, I always used cheap supermarket shampoo and conditioner, mainly because I didn’t have money to spend on anything else, but also because I was used to using the type of shampoo and conditioner we had when I was growing up. I also didn’t really believe that salon products were any different, and that they were just trying to rip you off by getting you to pay for products with a fancier look and name.

However, since then, I’ve tried quite a few ‘fancier’ products, and although most of them haven’t really impressed me, there were those that did. For example Redken All Soft. It is probably my favourite hair product to date. But the problem is that I’m not willing to spend $30NZD per bottle, seeing as they’re not very large and I always seem to run out of one faster than the other. (I’m willing to admit that the latter is probably my fault, due to using too much conditioner).

Not too long ago I received a goodie bag at a Chicks at the Flicks event, which contained two small sample bottles of Pantene Daily Moisture Renewal shampoo and conditioner. I didn’t have high hopes, because I hadn’t heard anyone talk about Pantene at all. But I have to say I was very pleasantly surprised. It made my hair so much softer and manageable. Not only that, it smells great too. So I’ve decided to try it our for a while. I feel that sometimes the products only work for a few weeks, and then my hair sort of gets used to them and doesn’t feel as soft and nice any more.

I went all out and even bought the treatment. I hardly ever use treatments, but I probably should. Not that I really know what’s in them, but I remember using them in the past and getting great results. In saying that, I’ve never used a Pantene treatment, so I’m not quite sure what to expect. I guess I’ll just have to wait and see!

What’s your favourite hair product, and have you ever used Pantene?

I’ve used Pantene before and I loooove it! I don’t have a favorite brand since I switch quite often if I’m honest.

Good to hear you loved it! I’m hoping it’ll work for me. I swap quite often too to be honest, but I think it’s actually good to do that because as I said in the post, I my hair gets used to the product after a while and it doesn’t seem to work so well anymore. What brand are you using currently? 🙂
