Donating my clothes

May 12, 2015

A while back I wrote about the fact that I cleaned out my closet and was going to drop the clothes off in one of those clothing bins. Well, the other day, we got a pink bag in the mail where they were asking for used clothing. I’m assuming that they sell it and donate the money to the Child Cancer Foundation. That sounds like a brilliant cause to me, so I chucked all my clothing in the bag and put it out this morning.

I love how they state on the bag that they will collect even if it’s raining. We certainly shouldn’t let the weather stop us from helping those in need. I’ve donated a bit lately, mostly to Nepal. I just feel like I want to help out. In the past I always said I didn’t have enough money to donate, but to be honest, a few dollars go a long way and a few dollars aren’t going to set me back hugely. I would advice everyone to think the same way. Imagine if everyone gave a dollar. That is a truckload of money that could help millions of people.
