Queenstown in October

Queenstown

I’m super excited, because Jeremy and I have booked in a trip to Queenstown and Wanaka in October this year. We usually do some sort of joint birthday trip as my birthday is in September and his in October. This year we decided that we want to go back to Queenstown. It hasn’t been too long since we went there, but we didn’t have enough time to explore as much as we wanted to. So this time, we’re going to spend two days in Wanaka and two and a half days in Queenstown. Still not a lot of time, but should be enough for us to experience what we missed last time.

Jeremy is super keen to go paragliding, but I’m not too sure. I have a fear of heights and I think I would be terrified. At the same time, I would love to do it just to have that experience. And if I were to do it, Queenstown is the place, with it’s amazing views of the mountains. I guess I will decide closer to the time.

We’ve decided to stay at The Moorings in Wanaka for the first two nights. It looks like they’ve got quite and amazing view of the lake and mountains, so that should be lovely to wake up to. We haven’t decided on the accommodation for Queenstown just yet, so we’ll still need to have a look around for that.

We will definitely go back to the restaurant by the luge course up in the hills. We had such an amazing experience there last time, and I would love to re-live it. Hopefully we’ll be lucky enough to get the same seats, because the view from where we were sitting was absolutely mind-blowing.

Eek! So excited! 🙂

If you like burgers head down to Fergburger so worth it. Also if you haven’t done Milford or doubtless sounds worth a trip 🙂

Thanks for the tip! I’ve been to both Fergburger and Milford Sound. To be honest, I prefer the bakery next to Fergburger than the actual burgers. Their sandwiches are so good! 🙂
