Neutrogena = mistake

May 20, 2015

So not long ago I posted about some Neutrogena products that I purchased. The main reason I bought them is because they’re meant to be easy on the skin and allergy-tested. And because I’ve had some problems with the skin on my face lately, I need a product that won’t cause issues.

Unfortunately, I have realised that Neutrogena is probably what caused my skin reaction a while back. I realised this as I started getting the same problem the other day and I was using Neutrogena back then as well. The first time I used these new products, I woke up the next day and my whole face felt bumpy. I looked at it in the mirror and I had these small, hardly visible bumps all over my face. I didn’t think too much of it, because firstly you could hardly see them, and they didn’t itch or anything. They just felt funny.

I continued to use the products and I started getting dry skin around my eyes and lips again, just like last time. I stopped using the products straight away and luckily I had some steroid cream left from when I had this problem last time. I had to use the cream for a few days to bring my skin back to the way it was.

After this happened, I thought to myself “Could it be the Neutrogena products causing this”. So I decided to do a Google search. These are a few of the reviews that I found:

In total there were over 200 complaints on the page I was looking at. Wow. It seems strange to me that a product that is ‘allergy-tested’ and dermatologist approved can cause so many issues. I certainly won’t be buying their products again, that’s for sure! Now I just need to decide whether or not I write to them and complain to try to get my money back, or if I just move on.

        Customer service – something that basically vanished years ago here in the States. Go get your money!

          I’m sorry to hear that! I work in Customer Service myself, so I really pick up on bad service when I come across it! 🙂
