There are certain things we do everyday that if we didn’t, it would really bother us. These things will obviously be different for all of us, but today I will share 5 things that I do and couldn’t go without doing. Feel free to share yours with me as well.
- Brushing my teeth
If I go to work without brushing my teeth (which never happens except maybe once a year or something when I’m stressed), I feel disgusting. I would feel like I stink and wouldn’t want to talk to people just in case they would smell my breath. The same applies to going to bed. I would not be able to go to sleep without brushing my teeth. A few times when I’ve travelled somewhere and forgotten my toothbrush, I’ve brushed my teeth with my fingers. Anything is better than going without!
- Using hand creme
I really cannot stand having dry hands. I didn’t really use to have a problem with dry hands either, but these days my hands get really dry after washing them, so I have to bring my hand creme with me everywhere I go. I’ve got a bottle in my handbag that I use a few times per day. When I don’t have any I feel really uncomfortable and can’t stop thinking about how dry my hands are.
- Making the bed
OK, I’ll admit, I can probably go without doing it, but I would really dislike it. A messy bed makes the whole room look messy, so before I leave for work in the morning, I need to make sure that the bed is made. There is nothing worse than going to bed in an unmade bed.
- Snoozing my alarm
At least once, but likely many times. I just love the feeling of falling back asleep. I therefore set my alarm for earlier than I need to get up. Jeremy thinks it’s silly seeing as I stay in bed anyway. But if I didn’t do it, I wouldn’t experience that feeling of falling back asleep. I can’t remember the last time I got up after my alarm went off the first time.
- Drinking water before bed
I have to drink water before bed, otherwise I feel like I’ll wake up dehydrated, and that sucks. So I always have a water bottle next to me when I go to bed. And I always have to fill it up, because I often fear I’ll wake up thirsty and have to get out of bed to get the water. Ain’t nobody got time for that. In saying this, I’m pretty terrible at drinking water after a party night. If only drunk Sophie would be as responsible as sober Sophie.
So those are 5 things I could not go without doing in a day. I’d be curious to know what you cannot go without, so feel free to comment and let me know.
