Trying out Netflix

June 2, 2015

About a week ago I decided to sign up for Netflix. I’ve heard so many people talk about how good it is and how they get really addicted. I’ve always downloaded the movies and TV-shows I want to watch, but I’d be lying if I said I wouldn’t appreciate being able to stream them immediately. If the selection is good, I wouldn’t mind paying for it.

In saying that, I’ve tried it out for the last couple of days, and so far I’m not too impressed. I’m assuming this is because I’m using the New Zealand version and that we don’t get as much selection here as in the US. So before my free trial is over, I’m thinking of getting a VPN so that I can access the American version, as I’ve heard it’s a lot better. I don’t really know anything about VPNs so I would have to get Jeremy’s help.

I pay for Spotify because I think it works really well, and I don’t use any other services, so if Netflix get as good as Spotify, then I would definitely continue on after my trial. I guess I’ll just have to wait and see. I wish there was an easier way of accessing the American version. Silly America, always so worried about sharing content.

Silly Americans aye? 😉 My son has Netflix account in his room, loves it. Did I mention he loves it? I believe you would be happy too. 🙂

Yeah, it’s a pretty good concept. I heard on the radio yesterday that illegal downloading in New Zealand has dropped to about half due to services such as Netflix. 🙂

That’s good news. Years ago I downloaded stuff like that but no more, feel too guilty. I have seen many photos of the NZ mountains and countryside, you are blessed to live there. Beautiful places.
