I’m always cold, even in summer, so I sometimes struggle in our office. Mainly because I sit right underneath the air-conditioning, but also because there is a draft coming from the staircase door. I try my best to keep warm by wearing thick socks and boots, drinking hot tea and wearing a scarf, but every now and again I just have to put on my jacket even though I’m indoors. I hate it.
Due to the draft that is coming from the door, we’ve had to put down a towel to stop it from coming in. My first thought was that someone was probably going to trip over the towel, so we put up a post-it note just to make sure people were aware of it. The last thing I want to do is cause an accident just because I’m cold. I reported the draft to the office manager and the great news is that someone came in to look at it this morning, and I think they’re going to fix it. Yay!
I can’t believe we’re only halfway through the first month of winter. How will I be able to survive another couple of months of winter? Blankets, tea, fluffy socks and my onesie will most certainly be used frequently. If only I could go away to one of the pacific islands for a week. That would be amazing. I can just see myself tanning on the beach, wearing a dress and just really enjoying the heat. Ugh.. oh well. Maybe in about 5-6 months when the heat returns to New Zealand!
