Colouring books for adults

August 2, 2015

It’s quite funny, I’ve always liked colouring in for some reason. I did it a lot as a kid, but when I became a teenager I felt like I was a bit too old to do it. However, then I got a bit older and decided that I wanted to buy a colouring book. So I did. I bought a colouring book for children.

I think the reason why I like colouring in is because I’m not very good at drawing or painting. But you don’t really have to be talented to be able to colour in and get a good result!

Not long ago, I was at Whitcoulls, just walking around looking at books when I came across colouring books for adults. I sort of giggled and thought it was pretty funny. But then I realised what a great idea it is. I mean, kids colouring books are not for everyone, and with these adult colouring books, maybe people won’t feel as embarrassed rocking them out for some colouring action.

I was tempted to buy one for myself, but to be completely honest, they looked too complicated! There are so many patterns, and I have a feeling I would get sick of it reasonably quick, because it would take too long to finish. I don’t know.. maybe I’ll buy one anyway one day, just to try it out.

I don’t think there are too many options to choose from right now, but if this kicks off then I’m sure there will be more options in the near future. Maybe this has been a thing for a long time, and I’ve just missed it? I don’t know.

Would you buy a colouring book for adults?

I saw them in Whitcoulls too and did get one, with pictures of cities. It is great fun, but takes up a lot of time – which can, of course, be a good thing! Great for relaxing.

I haven’t seen the one with cities. That sounds interesting 🙂

Mix of fantasy and real cities, including Stockholm!

I have one and love it! Once you get into it it is so relaxing. And it gets your creative flair up in running. You can order the Internet also from large online book suppliers. Like Amazon.com

Yeah I went and bought one the other day! So I’ve started colouring a little bit. Hard to find the time though, might have to be a weekend thing! 🙂
