How cool are smartphone printers!

August 14, 2015

I don’t know about you, but the thought of being able to print my Instagram photos out and make a scrapbook out of it really excites me! Something I’ve thought about lately is the fact that now that we take photos on our phones, we don’t often have physical copies of the photos, and it’s a shame.

I’ve got thousands and thousands of photos on my computer, but I hardly ever look at them, and I’d probably go as far as saying only 5% of them are actually really good photos. I’d love to take those 5%, print them out and put them into a book that I can look through when I want to see my very best photos.

With a smartphone printer, the photo you print will obviously be really small, but it would be perfect for scrap-booking!

There are heaps of different smartphone printers you can choose from. There are larger ones that you obviously wouldn’t carry with you, but then there are also smaller ones that you could potentially keep in your handbag and print photos when you feel like it. Perhaps you take a photo at a party and want to print it for your friends.

I was searching for them online and found a pretty good post where someone compared three different smartphone printers. Have a look at it if you’d like to find out more about these.

As far as I can tell, they aren’t as pricey as I thought they would be. It’s probably not something I’d go out and buy spontaneously, but it would be a pretty awesome gift.

Have you seen these before? Would you want one?

Sophie

Never heard of a smart phone printer, hmmmm. the ink container must be tiny.

Some of them don’t even use ink. The Polaroid Zip (I think that’s what it’s called) prints on Zink paper and uses heat technology to produce photos without ink! 🙂

These sound like they would be a good idea. Especially one that you could carry around with you. It would also be good if you were away visiting friends and family.

Cool! Do they work with IPad too?

I would assume so! 🙂 You’d just need to connect the printer with the app. But it might be worth double checking, haha!

Wow I did not realize these existed. I remember the little sticker size that Polaroid was doing when they were around. It is quite interesting to see this. Once I get a smartphone lol

This is such a good idea! Now, I want one! I will probably add it to my Christmas presents or maybe purchase one on sale.. I do think the canon produces better quality pictures…

Yeah, the only problem with the canon is that it’s larger and not so portable. 🙂

They are so much fun! I absolutely love my Polaroid ZIP. Of course it’s a bit of a gadget, but it’s fun when I want to put a small photo in a scrapbook. As far as I know, the app only works for iPhones and not iPads, but you never know how quickly these developments go. 🙂

Yeah I have a feeling I would use it for a while and then just put it to the side, haha.
