Recipe: Delicious Banana Bread

August 16, 2015

I’ve been on a hunt for the best banana bread for a while and I think I’ve managed to find my favourite. I prefer my banana bread sweet, almost like banana cake, but in loaf form, haha! If that sounds like something you’d like, you should definitely give this recipe a go! 🙂

Banana bread

3 ripe bananas, mashed
2 eggs
1 3/4 cups flour
1 3/4 cups sugar
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1/4 cup  milk
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 teaspoon cinnamon

  1. Combine the oil, eggs, sugar, milk, vanilla, and mashed bananas.
  2. Sift baking soda and flour, then add them to the wet ingredients.
  3. Stir well.
  4. Pour into a greased loaf pan and bake at 325 degrees F  (roughly 165 degrees Celsius) for 1 hour and 20 minutes.

It’s not healthy in any way, but when you want to treat yourself to something really tasty, give this one a go. You won’t regret it, I promise! 🙂

It’s super easy to make, the only downside is that it takes a long time in the oven 🙂

I love Banana bread. There was once a choco banana walnut loaf that Family Mart was selling. it was everyone’s favorite. too bad they’ve stopped selling them. I think they have to change the assortment of breads and pastries from time to time. Thanks for sharing your recipe. will try this one of these days.

For some reason I don’t really like chocolate in my banana bread, but I can see why others would! 🙂

Haha I know what you mean, being from Europe, it took me a long time to get used to cups.

I was thinking about putting the dough into muffin tins to make them as bite size snacks for my kid. Lovely recipe which I intend to use. Thank You for sharing.

Good idea! I sort of felt like doing that myself, but I’m just not sure about re-calculating the baking time. I’m not very good at that kind of stuff. Let me know if you end up doing it! 🙂
