Make-up haul – all for $41!

September 3, 2015

Jeremy and I were driving home from work yesterday when we came across a huge make-up clearance. Jeremy drove right past it and I immediately asked him to turn around! I always seem to miss out on these clearances, so I decided to pop in to have a look this time.

They had heaps of stuff in there. Some of it was a mess, because people had opened the products to try them out and stuff, even though there were testers around! But there were also heaps of unopened products. I grabbed a bucket and started filling it with products. This is what I ended up with.

I thought that was a fair amount for $41 (NZD)! Normally you would almost pay that much for just the foundation, but instead I got a bunch of different products. I went a bit crazy with the blush, haha. I bought three different kinds. The palette, which includes a bronzer as well, a liquid blush, and a mousse blush. Here’s a list of all the products I bought:

  • L.A. Girl – Blush collection – Spice
  • Almay – Smart shade cc concealer + brightener
  • L’oréal Paris – Magic smooth soufflé blush
  • L.A. Girl – HD eyeshadow primer
  • Rimmel – Stay blushed liquid cheek tint
  • Revlon – Colourstay 24 hrs foundation

I don’t think I’ve tried any of these products before. I know I’ve used a Revlon foundation before, but I think it was a different one. You have to agree though that this is pretty good value for $41!

Do you often shop at make-up clearances?

You know–it’s funny. I am THE biggest sale monger. I’ll buy shoes, clothing, lots of stuff on clearances but I don’t think I’ve ever purchased make up at a clearance price. I’ll wait for “gift-with-purchase” because those “gifts” are great for travel. But not clearance. You know what though? You just opened my eyes to this! Thanks–I’m going to start checking out make up clearance sales!

You totally should! It’s so worth it. I also love getting gifts with purchases! 🙂
