What I got up to yesterday

September 19, 2015

I didn’t blog yesterday, because it was a pretty busy day, but I thought I’d write a post to let you know what I got up to at least.

Yesterday was my last day in the Trade Me Content Team and I’m now going back to the Customer Service team full time. It was a sad day, but I’m looking forward to hanging out with all the CS people again because it’s a really cool group of people. I got to pick a place where we went out for a leaving lunch and I chose Felix because I really like their breakfasts and brunches, so thought that the lunches must be good too.

I ordered a burger, and unfortunately it wasn’t great. It was pretty bland, and it was supposed to have brie cheese on it, but mine was made without, which was pretty disappointing. And the chips were definitely supermarket chips.

I ordered a cider with my meal. I had never had that type of cider before so didn’t know what to expect, but I thought it might have been a 4% cider or something like that. When it came out I realised that it was 5.7%. A bit strong for a lunch beverage, haha.

But I drunk it and had a nice buzz for the next couple of hours. But then after a while I started feeling really tired, as you do when the alcohol is leaving your system. Not too bad though, I still managed to work my whole shift till 5.30 pm without feeling too exhausted.

Normally I stay for Friday night drinks at work, but yesterday I felt like just heading home to have a quiet night in. That’s a lot easier now when I’m not in the office where the drinks are served. I would actually have to make an effort and go over there, and in case you don’t know, I’m pretty lazy so would need some motivation to actually make it over there.

So I got Jeremy to pick me up and we went to buy some takeaways and then went home. I spent the night watching last year’s The Voice UK, eating food and had a couple of glasses of wine. Went to bed before midnight. It was quite nice actually.

When I got home I discovered a parcel by the door and I saw straight away that it was a Swedish one, as it was bright green. When I picked it up I could tell by the handwriting that it was from my dad. It was filled with heaps of goodies!

It’s my birthday in just over a week so it was an early birthday present. Thanks heaps dad! So much chocolate in there and some salty liquorice. Yum! It will last me for a long time. I had some left over in the cupboard since last time I got a parcel from my parents, so it’s nice to be able to refill the stock, haha.

So that’s what I got up to yesterday. Today is going to be a quiet Saturday in I think. But we’ll see if I manage to pop up another blog post later.

How did you spend your Friday? 🙂

Sophie
