Farmers gave away double beauty points today when you bought beauty products, so I felt like I had to go buy some stuff. That’s how I work, even if I don’t necessarily need anything in particular, I feel like I need to take advantage of these opportunities.
I’m glad I did, because I came out with some great stuff. I originally decided to purchase one Revlon lipstick, a Rimmel eyebrow kit and a Natio moisturiser. When I got to the counter, the check out girl told me that if I spent another $25 on Natio products, she could give me a gift pack worth $79. I thought that sounded like a pretty good deal, so I went and had a look at the Natio products.
Nothing really took my fancy except a cleanser, but it only cost $15. The girl from behind the counter came and had a chat, and recommended products. I mentioned that all I really wanted was the $15 cleanser and she seemed to be aware that it wasn’t enough to get the gift pack. She said she’d leave me to have a look but that I shouldn’t feel any pressure.
After a while I decided that I didn’t really want to buy products that I didn’t want just so that I could get the gift pack. So I went to the check out counter and told her I would pass. Then she said “if you want to get the $15 product, I can give you the gift pack anyway”. I couldn’t say no to that! So I bought it.
I love shopping so much. I didn’t use to shop much when I was younger, but these days I feel like buying new products all the time. It’s a curse, haha. I especially like buying lipstick, but I haven’t actually bought any in quite a while, so it was about time. I’m also about to get a free trial product from Beautyreview.co.nz. They’re sending me a RED Burlesque lipstick to try out. Can’t wait.
I’ve been trying all sorts of different cleansers and moisturisers lately to, because I want to find something that really works to get rid of my stupid acne. These Natio products seem pretty great, so I’m trying them for a while to see if I notice any improvements.
Here are the products that were in the gift pack:
I think that’s pretty great value! I spend $69 and I came out with:
1 x Natio Clear Acne Moisturiser
1 x Natio Clear Acne Cleanser
1 x Natio Ageless Hydrating Mask
1 x Natio Renew Toning Cleanser
1 x Natio Antioxidant Hand and Nail Cream
1 x Natio Extreme Volume Mascara
1 x Revlon Lipstick
1 x Rimmel Eyebrow Kit
Going to be fun trying all these products. I managed to score myself another $20 voucher from Farmers after these purchases. So now I have $40 to spend – score!
Do you often buy products even when you don’t need them? 🙂
