Queenstown – Day 3 (Part 1)

October 27, 2015

We woke up fairly early as we were leaving Wanaka for Queenstown, and Jeremy let me know that he had booked me in for a half-day spa treatment. We had to get to Queenstown in time to have brunch beforehand, so we had no time to waste.

The drive there was lovely, we drove the same road back as we did when we went to Queenstown on the first day. We stopped to take some photos on the way, even though we didn’t really have time!

By the time we got to Queenstown and found out that brunch was going to take 25 minutes to cook, we realised we didn’t really have that much time. So we changed our brunch plans and went to Fergbaker instead.

If you’ve heard about Fergburger, you’ll know that they make the most popular burgers in Queenstown. However, they’ve also got a bakery next door that I absolutely love, called Fergbaker. They make amazing sandwiches and pies. We picked up a couple of small baguettes and ate them pretty fast. Then we drove off to the spa so that I could select my treatments to fill up the 4 hours! I’ve never had a spa treatment that long before.

I chose to have an hour long pedicure, one hour massage, one hour facial and a 45 minutes manicure. The spa I went to is the SoSpa at Sofitel. It was a really nice spa, and I was super relaxed when I was done. I almost felt like taking a nap!

But when I was done there, Jeremy said he had booked in a helicopter flight, so there was no time to waste napping! I put my makeup back on again, and we had a little while before the flight, so we went to Patagonia Chocolates to have some chocolates, tea and coffee.

Then we headed off to the airport pretty much (the helicopter company is located there), and you’ll find out more about what happened there in the next post! 🙂
