The Swedish Kiwi on Facebook!

November 22, 2015

I thought it was time I created a Facebook page for the blog, and I would really, really love it if you could hit the like button for the page (if you like my blog of course, otherwise you know.. don’t, haha).

I’ve seen quite a few other bloggers do this and I’ve heard it’s a pretty good way to get word of your blog out there. So why not! I don’t know much about running a page on Facebook so I’ve been spending a large part of the day trying to figure out the different things I can do with it.

Facebook page

If you have a Facebook page for your blog, let me know if you’ve got any tips for how it can be used. At this stage I’m thinking I’ll share all my posts there (of course), and once it’s got a fair few likes, I might start posting updates, teasers, polls and other fun stuff there.

Eek, I’m excited, and I don’t even know why! I guess I’m always thinking of things I can do to improve the blog, and I think having this Facebook page is definitely a step in the right direction.

Do you have a Facebook page for your blog?

Sophie

I thought about it, but … I have had no time, yet. Now I will take advice from you. What? How? In what way? Of course, if you want to share 🙂

I’m not sure if I’m qualified to give advice seeing as I’m trying to work it out myself, haha. But it looks like you can set up a page quite easily through Facebook and then it’s just a matter of working out what you wish to use it for. 🙂

Yes, Sophie, I am on Facebook, and have been for quite some time. Take a look-see and see what you think. Like my page if you so desire.

Thistles and Kiwis is on Facebook (please like!!), but I don’t use it enough. I should really post more pictures or comments. I’m sort of thinking of a Thistles and Kiwis Instagram account, but need time to properly curate and manage it. Oh and I liked your Facebook page!

I don’t have a facebook page for my blog, I have one for the section of my blog that is The Angel Zoe Kindness Project, but not everything I post is suitable for that. Might have to start another one just for the blog, but since my blog is very focused, not sure how much use it would be.

Your blog is lovely. You should definitely create a page for it. Although, I guess it depends on what your goal is. I’ve heard it’s pretty good for growing your audience. But if your blog is more of a personal, private one, it might not be the right path for it. 🙂

Thanks, I do get a lot of positive feedback on my blog (though mostly from pople saying it makes them cry!) Currently making do with just making posts on my personal page public, the way the facebook algorithm is working these days that might even be more effective! Seems very difficult to get people to follow the blogs themselves, whereas facebook is ubiquitous.

Yeah, I can see why your blog might make people cry, it’s so personal. 🙂 But it’s lovely at the same time, and inspirational.
