Photos: A sunny day in Wellington

January 6, 2016

Yesterday, I went for a bit of a walk on my lunch break. I just felt like I had to get away from the computer and get some fresh air. I took a few photos along the way to capture how beautiful Wellington is on a sunny day (plus one photo of my feet, don’t ask me why, haha.)

These photos are completely unedited and simply taken with my iPhone 6s Plus camera. The camera does pretty well on a sunny day, but not so much in the evenings unfortunately. One of these days there will be a phone that can take great photos both during the day and  in the dark!

I have to say, I’m definitely going to miss the Wellington waterfront when we move overseas. Sweden is super beautiful and I’m 100% sure that I’ll be able to take amazing photos over there too, but there is just something special about Wellington. I’ve lived here for over 7 years now and I love it just as much now as when I first got here, if not more!

After living here for 7 years, I really do feel like I’ve got two homes. It’s great, but really frustrating at the same time. When I live in one country, I’ll miss the other, and I guess I’ll never feel 100% at home. Oh well, I shouldn’t complain!

Great photos Sophie! I wish it would be that sunny and warm here in Finland too. 😀

Oh cool! It’s a pretty amazing place. I’ve got mixed feelings about leaving at the end of the year! 🙂

I know what you mean, I’ve been splitting my time between NZ and my home country, Canada for the past seven years… it’s tough! How long have you been living in New Zealand?

I’ve been here for about 7 years too 🙂 I definitely feel that it’s time to go back to Sweden and spend some time with my family. I’ve always wanted to visit Canada. One day I’ll go!
