Poker, BBQ and a lovely walk

January 11, 2016

This weekend was packed with activities. So many that in a way I feel that I didn’t get enough time to just relax. But hey, I shouldn’t complain, I had a lot of fun.

I started the Saturday out by cooking some foods for the BBQ that we were having that night. I made two salads, and prepared some corn. We then kicked off our poker at 2 pm. I didn’t do nearly as good as I had hoped. I was the third one out, so I got 5th place. How disappointing. Went out on three of a kind kings, Tom had a full house. Lame. 🙂

For some reason I felt exhausted the whole weekend. During the BBQ I must have been the most boring person ever (sorry to those who came!) I seriously just felt like going to bed. But I had some delicious BBQ food and thoroughly enjoyed the chocolate cake a friend brought for dessert. All in all it was a great day.

I started Sunday by having a sleep-in. We then headed off to a lunch Jeremy’s friend Sue had organised. It was the first time her baby was going to be out in public. He’s adorable – he was wearing the cutest Batman outfit. We brought a few gifts for him, hopefully they’ll fit. Babies grow so fast!

I was still exhausted for some reason, so we headed into town after lunch and had a coffee at Nespresso. It woke me up a bit, so we decided to go for a walk through the Botanic Gardens. The weather was amazing.

For the rest of the Sunday afternoon I was pretty much just lying on the couch. We watched some Brooklyn Nine Nine, a show about Heathrow Airport and then some Border Security. I tried to finish of the hat I’ve been crocheting. It’s not going super well. But I will not give up! I’ll get there even if it’ll take me weeks.

It’s now Monday and I still feel exhausted. Not too sure what’s up with that, but I better start taking my vitamins in case I’m getting sick!

How was your weekend?

Sophie

Aww, sounds like a nice weekend! I’ve been feeling super sleepy too. The weather here was so rainy + crummy. It was the perfect do-nothing day haha. I hope you’re not getting sick. Have a wonderful week! XOXO

Yeah, it was a nice weekend, but exhausting at the same time, haha. Will certainly make sure I rest to make sure I don’t get sick. 🙂 xx
