My favourite apps

April 19, 2016

These days I feel people use their phones more than their computers. Fair enough I suppose, they’re a lot easier to carry with you than a laptop. I absolutely love my laptop, but I only use it these days to watch TV-shows, movies, YouTube videos or to write my blog posts. Back in the day I used to do so much more. Now I have my phone for most other things.

I don’t use a whole lot of apps, but there are certain ones I really like. You would have heard of most of them, but here is a list of my favourite apps.

I think Vine is really underrated. When it first came out, I didn’t think it sounded that great, but the people I follow on Vine are so creative and clever that it makes the app really entertaining. Who would have thought you can make a six-second video so funny?

This app is seriously good for learning a new language. Jeremy uses it to learn Swedish, and I’ve done some Spanish and German. I haven’t used it in a while because I haven’t really had time for it, but if you’re wanting to learn another language, I definitely recommend it.

Do you like quizzes? Then this is definitely the app for you. You can choose very specific categories that interest you and then compete against people around the world. It’s really well designed, and it’s so much fun. Because I’m such a fan of TV-shows, my favourite categories at the moment are ‘New Girl’ and ‘Friends’.

Exploding Kittens

If you didn’t buy the actual card game, you should definitely download the app. Originally, you could only play with people on the same network, but a recent update made it possible to play with people around the world. It’s a very creative game, but that’s not surprising seeing as it was created by The Oatmeal.

Pocket planes

This is such a simple game, and somehow it’s really entertaining and addictive. You basically have an airline and you fly planes between destinations around the world. You start off with a few airports and you have to save money to build airports in different cities. When you level up you can buy more airports and better planes. Trust me, it’s fun.

Those are my favourites at the moment. I didn’t include Facebook, Instagram or Snapchat seeing as they’re known to everyone already, so no point mentioning them!

What are your favourite apps?

Don’t forget to ask me questions for my next ‘Ask me anything’ post!

Did they! How rude. Haha. I have not played Pocket trains, but I’ve tried ‘Tiny Tower’, which is also quite fun and a great way to waste time, haha!
