If we were on a coffee date, I would let you know that I’m so frustrated with my blog at the moment. My posts are meant to come up in the WordPress.com Reader, but they hardly ever do. Yes, I know I’m on the WordPress.org platform, but I’ve confirmed with WordPress directly, that my posts should still appear there as long as my blog is connected to my WordPress.com account through Jetpack, which it is. Now it seems like the posts may come up there, but with a delay of a day or so. That’s not very useful when you’re wanting your posts seen at a certain time. Frustration.
If we were on a coffee date, and you were from Wellington, we’d probably be talking about how warm it’s been lately. Usually around this time, you wouldn’t be able to walk outside without a jacket (if I remember correctly from previous years), but it’s been between 15-20 degrees recently, which is quite nice. I looked up the weather forecast this morning though, and apparently it’s going to rain for most of the week.
If we were on a coffee date, I’d let you know I’m going to Karaoke on Friday and I’m already excited. It hasn’t been too long since I went last time, but singing is such a great way to release any sort of emotions you need to get out. Hopefully those emotions will not show in the form of crying – that would be a pretty lame Karaoke night.
If we were on a coffee date, I would tell you I’m counting down the days to my move to Sweden. I’m both nervous and incredibly excited. It’s going to be a very difficult experience as we pretty much have to start from scratch with finding new jobs and somewhere to live. But I’m ready for a challenge!
If we were on a coffee date, I’d let you know I’ve got Monday and Tuesday off next week and I’m looking forward to just staying at home and relaxing. I haven’t had a whole lot of leave lately, so it’s about time I take some time for myself. I’m considering taking some more time off sometime soon, because I’ve been feeling very stressed at work lately.
If we were on a coffee date, I would tell you I’m very excited that Eurovision Song Contest is happening next week. Although I know Sweden has no chance of winning this year, it sort of removes some of the stress around hoping for a win, and I can just focus on the other songs I believe deserve to win! I haven’t listened to any of them this year so far, and I’ll wait till the actual shows so that they’re all new to me.
If we were on a coffee date, I would mention that I get quite surprised when people at work approach me sometimes to tell me they read my blog post. I guess you don’t really realise who reads your posts until they mention them. It’s happened quite a few times now.
What are you doing this week? Let me know in the comments section!
