If you’re anything like me, making breakfast in the morning can feel like a struggle. I’ve been a bit better at it lately, mainly because I set my alarm to go off earlier these days to give me plenty of time to wake up and get ready for work. Generally, I’ll just have toast, a boiled egg and maybe some fruit for breakfast. I feel like I need to mix it up a bit, so I had a look around for some ideas and I thought I’d share what I’ve found just in case you’re in the same situation.
Please note, this is not a collection of ‘healthy’ recipes. I’ve always believed in the ‘everything in moderation’ mindset.
I don’t often eat yoghurt, but these look pretty good. I’d definitely be willing to try them, especially if you’re able to make them in advance and leave them in the fridge overnight. Here are a few recipes I’ve found:
I’m not sure how I feel about drinking my breakfast, but at the same time I feel it might be easier to drink a smoothie than to eat solid foods when you’re not feeling hungry. I’m generally not hungry in the mornings, I just eat because I know I have to. Here are some breakfast smoothie recipes.
I’m not going to lie, I’ve never been a big fan of oatmeal. Maybe it’s because I haven’t been eating it the right way. I used to buy those package oats and heat them in the microwave. Maybe I should actually make an effort and try some oatmeal with different types of condiments to see how I feel about it. Chia Seed Pudding
I kind of think these look a bit strange, but at the same time very intriguing. I’ve never tried them before but I’ve always wanted to. I have to sort myself out and buy the ingredients for one sometime soon so I at least can say I’ve tried it. Have a look at these recipes if this seems like something you’d like.
Well, I might just have to go out and buy some ingredients so I can try some of these. I have a feeling I’d buy the ingredients and then they would sit in the cupboard just taking up space. I’ll try my best though!
