If we were on a coffee date… #8

July 6, 2016

If we were on a coffee date, I would let you know that I’m struggling with getting paid monthly. At Trade Me I got paid fortnightly and that worked perfectly for me, but at Xero I receive my pay once a month and I’m not good enough at managing my money to make that work it seems. I better get used to it though, because I’m pretty sure you get paid monthly no matter where you work in Sweden.

If we were on a coffee date, I would tell you that I’m getting really into this show called Million Dollar Listing New York. Jeremy got me into it. It’s a real estate reality show. The first time I watched it, I thought it was absolutely terrible, but the more I watch, the more addicted I get! We’ve got a brand new TV channel called Bravo which will air the latest season every Monday. Let’s just say I’ll probably be stuck on the couch watching it weekly. It’s so cheesy, but so entertaining.

If we were on a coffee date, I would tell you that I’m trying to stop drinking coffee – again. This time it’s not because it’s ruining my sleep or anything, although, it was probably doing that too. But it’s because I’ve noticed I get pretty bad mood swings in the afternoons. I hate being grumpy, so if something is causing me to be grumpy, I need to cut it out.

If we were on a coffee date, I’d let you know that the weather in Wellington has been strangely good lately. Now that I’ve said that, I’m sure the rain will start pouring. I’m pretty sure it’s supposed to rain this week anyway! Let’s just say it’s not the kind of winter I’m used to here. I’m glad though, because we’ll be going to Sweden in December (which will be very cold), so I’ll take all the sunshine and warmth I can before then.

If we were on a coffee date, I’d tell you that I’m going to try to cut dairy out of my diet for a while. To the best of my ability anyway. I’ve heard from a lot of sources that dairy can cause acne. Sounds strange to me, but at the same time I’m willing to give it a go to see if it helps. I don’t think I’ll be able to cut it out completely though, but if I reduce it I might see a small change at least.

What would you tell me on our coffee date?

Thanks! I’ve seen it on a lot of blogs, so thought I’d start doing it myself too! 🙂
