Time for me to answer more questions about myself and for you to learn more about me. I’ll probably learn some things about myself while answering the questions too.
If you want to ask me a question, pop it in the comments and I’ll include it in my next ‘Ask me anything’ post. I’ll include a link to your blog too, if you have one.
Have you ever written a song?
Yeah, I have. I think I was about 10 years old when I was into songwriting. The songs were of course absolutely terrible. I’ve always loved writing and I used to write short stories, songs, poems as well as a diary. No blogs back then seeing as the internet was still quite new and limited. I did write on an old Mac I had though, in some sort of Notepad application.
Can you make change for a dollar right now?
No. Does anyone ever carry around cash anymore? The only time I have cash is when Jeremy and I are going to the vegetable market, or when I know I can only pay for something using cash, which isn’t too often. Well, actually… come to think about it I probably could make change for a dollar, because I’ve got some cash lying around in my piggybank at home! Yeah, that’s right, I’m 27 years old and I own a piggy bank.
Would you rather eat a Big Mac or a Whopper?
A Whopper. I used to like McDonalds more than Burger King, but that was only because we didn’t have a Burger King in my hometown. I think the first time I had Burger King was after moving to New Zealand, and now I don’t enjoy eating McDonalds burgers at all. I’ll sometimes have a cheeseburger from there, or Chicken McNuggets, but that’s about it.
When you are at the grocery store, do you ask for paper or plastic?
This question sort of doesn’t apply to me. Because in New Zealand they don’t really have paper bags in the grocery store, so you just get plastic by default. And in Sweden you grab your own bag, so you don’t have to ask for one. Whether I go for paper or plastic in Sweden depends on how much I’m buying. Plastic if I’m not buying a lot, and paper if I’m buying quite a bit.
Can you tell the difference between a crocodile and an alligator?
Without Googling it, I’m not sure I would be able to. Alligators are bigger, right? But they look about the same, don’t they? I actually don’t really have a clue and I hope I never have to see either of them in real life. They seem pretty dangerous, and there’s been two people killed by them in the last year (that I’ve heard about anyway).
Have you ever ridden in an ambulance?
I have once, and I absolutely hated it. Mum had to go to hospital and I was really scared and upset, so it was not a great experience. I can’t remember most of it because I was freaking out too much.
How many foreign countries have you visited?
At this stage I think I’m up to 14, but I’m looking at growing my list once we’re in Europe. So far I’ve been to Australia, Austria, China, France, Germany, Greece, Japan, New Zealand, Norway, Samoa, Singapore, Switzerland, The Netherlands and The UK. There are plenty of other places I’d love to travel to.
Have you ever slipped in the bathtub?
No I haven’t but I’ve been very close a couple of times. One time when I was washing my feet and I may have used a little bit too much soap, and the second time when I was shaving my legs and the shaving cream because a bit slippery.
How many pairs of shoes do you own?
Not too many anymore actually. I used to own quite a lot, but these days I spend my money on more important things. I think I have two pairs of shoes that I wear regularly, and another 3-4 pairs that are just sitting around in the closet. I don’t really wear heels that often, I’ve become too comfortable wearing flats!
What is your least favourite fruit?
Kiwifruit. Which is really awkward seeing as I live in New Zealand and this is where kiwifruit is from. I don’t know what it is, I just really don’t like them. I ate them a bit as a kid, but I never really enjoyed them.
