Amigurumi is the best thing ever!

August 10, 2016

I started doing crochet some time back because I felt I needed to pick up a hobby of some sort. However, after a while I felt like I was stuck doing the same things over and over again, and I got a bit bored. Then I went onto Pinterest and discovered Amigurumi and my world was forever changed! It’s amazing, and so much fun. I’m not great at it at the moment, which is fair enough because I only just started, but I’m really keen on practicing until I get better at it.Watch Full Movie Online Streaming Online and Download

I haven’t made that many things yet, because I’ve failed a few things that I had to chuck out, but I’m quite pleased with the few things I’ve completed. My first project was making an apple.

The colour was supposed to be a more bright red, but I used what I had. The stem was supposed to be brown too, but I didn’t have any brown yarn at home. There was supposed to be a leaf as well, but I didn’t have any green yarn either. I’m still pretty happy with it though!

The second thing I made was a little heart. Unfortunately it didn’t turn out quite right at the bottom, but I was too lazy to re-do it so I just sew it together and accepted the fact that it wasn’t perfect. I had another go with pink yarn though and that heart turned out quite nice!

Then I made a cupcake. It didn’t go too great. First of all, the white yarn for the icing was much thinner than the other yarn, but again, I used what I had. Then I forgot to sew the cherry on before stuffing it sewing it together, so I had to improvise and try to sew it on anyway. It didn’t go so well, and it’s pretty crooked and might come off again. But hey, as I said, I’m a beginner at this. Hopefully I’ll learn from my mistakes.

So far I’ve only done free patterns, but I might purchase some patterns from Etsy soon and try to make some cooler stuff. I’ve got a little whale on the way too. Just waiting for the eyes to arrive after buying some from Ebay!
