Ask me anything #5

September 19, 2016

If you’d like to ask me any questions, pop them in the comments section and I’ll make sure to include them in my next ‘Ask me anything’ post. If you have your own blog, I’d be happy to link back to it along with your question.

What is your biggest pet peeve?

I’ve actually got quite a few. I actually wrote a whole blog post about them in April this year. If I had to pick just one, it would probably have to be people humming. I don’t know what it is, but it really, really annoys me. I used to think that it was only when they were doing it out of tune of a song playing, but I actually can’t even stand it when they do it when there is no music playing. I’m such a hypocrite too, because I always hum or sing in the car.

Would you rather eat steak or pizza?

This really depends on how good the pizza is, but I’m quite a big fan of Italian style pizza, so I’d probably have to go with that. Although, a good steak can be pretty great too… I just love food. Can I please have both? No? OK, I’ll go with the pizza then.

Do you ride roller coasters?

I do, but there are definitely some I wouldn’t even think about going on. I really don’t like loops. Not necessarily because I’m scared, even though that’s definitely a factor, it’s mostly because I get motion sickness and I would rather not feel like throwing up. I really do love the ones that just go up and down though, if you know what I mean? I can’t really remember the last time I was on a roller coaster. It must have been at least 4 years ago now.

If you could invite any movie star to dinner, who would it be?

I think I would have to pick Jennifer Lawrence. She seems like such a blast, and I have a feeling it wouldn’t be a dull dinner if she was around. She comes across as really down to earth.

What is your favourite season?

I’m going to have to say summer. I absolutely love long days, and I can’t stand being cold. I’m always cold, sometimes even in summer, so I need warmer temperatures to feel comfortable. And who doesn’t like sunshine? I love wearing dresses, and summer is obviously perfect for that! Although, summer here in Wellington is a bit tricky, because it’s often windy. I’ve unintentionally shown my butt to more people than I would have preferred.

If you could participate in an Olympic event, what would it be?

I’m assuming I would have the talent for whatever I pick? Because if I don’t, I really wouldn’t want to go! But if I had to pick one Olympic talent to be good at, it would likely be figure skating. It looks so cool, and it’s sort of like dancing, which I’ve always wanted to be good at.

Were you a good student?

I would have to say yes, I graduated from high school with pretty good grades. Although, I did fail one or two subjects, but that was mainly because I put my focus on what really interested me to get awesome grades for those. I was never disrespectful to teachers or anything like that, so I think I would classify as a good student.

If someone gave you a gift you already had, would you tell them?

No I don’t think I would. I would thank them and then either exchange it or sell it without them knowing, then spend the money on something I didn’t have. Is that rude?

Have you ever locked yourself out of the house?

Not my house as such, but then growing up I lived in apartment buildings where the door would automatically lock at a certain time. I didn’t really have my own key, so when that happened, I had to yell ‘MUM’ over and over again to get her to either throw me a key from the balcony or come down and open the door. My mum has reduced hearing, so I often had to stand there for quite some time yelling. Every now and again the neighbours would open the door for me instead to get me to stop yelling.

Which friend would you be able to arm wrestle and beat?

In all honesty, probably no one. I have no arm muscles whatsoever, so I think anyone would beat me very easily. I don’t really want to test it out, because it would be too embarrassing! If I did win, I would be very suspicious that they let me win.
