I can’t actually remember the last time I ‘celebrated’ Halloween. I think it must have been in 2008 when I went to a dress-up party. Wow, 8 years ago. But that doesn’t mean I don’t like to look at Halloween inspired DIY and recipes. Perhaps I’ll try to make something this Halloween. It’s only a few weeks away. I think my favourite part about Halloween is seeing all the kids dressed up. I guess that’s what happens when you’re close to 30 years old.
I’ve had a hunt around on the web to find you 10 easy projects that you should try out this Halloween. Who knows, maybe I’ll give some of them a go myself!
These are ADORABLE. And so easy to make. When the kids come trick or treating, I bet they would love a lollipop ghost or two. These would literally take no time at all to make. Thanks to Debbie from onelittleproject.com for this brilliant idea.
If you don’t want to buy a whole pumpkin that you then have to carve, why not buy a bunch of mandarins that you can decorate and put around the house. Maybe you could even give one of these to kids trick or treating? No? Kids like fruit, right? This idea comes from Jess from adesignerlife.com.
This is one for the adults, although I’m sure you could make a cocktail version of this as well. It’s slightly creepy that you put in the raspberry puree using a syringe, but that’s what makes it perfect for Halloween. Thanks to Krissy from Self Proclaimed Foodie for this idea!
The tutorial at Crafts Unleashed says it’s for kids but hey, I think there are many adults out there including myself that wouldn’t mind making these and hanging them up. Who would have thought you could make a spider web using popsicle sticks!
White Chocolate Strawberry Ghosts
I can’t help but find these absolutely adorable. I mean, look at them. They look pretty delicious too. The only problem I could imagine with these is not being able to get a hold of strawberries at this time of year. Fingers crossed they’ve started to sell them around Halloween. Thanks Scarlett from madeitateitlovedit.com for this idea.
Let me know what you think of these ideas, or if you have any other easy projects to recommend!
